Hi! Remember when you were in school and you would get put in a group with your best friend? Remember that excitement? That’s how we feel when we find out we get to work with Greg and his team from Thirsty Filly.

Choosing a bar service is one of the more fun aspects of wedding planning; however, we think every aspect is the most fun. We’ve said it before, we’re biased! For all of your bar needs, we found the solution. Thirsty Filly!

We spoke to Greg regarding how their process works and the questions he recommends couples ask. Here is what he said:

What is your process for couples who are inquiring/booking your services?

Due to our service being more abstract than most bar companies, we generally suggest a phone call to go over our packages and event details with our clients first. This ensures that we are a good fit for our client based on their specific event needs. After a client books, we invite them out to an intimate 1 on 1 in person craft cocktail tasting where we will dig in and plan your perfect event menu.

How does the couple know how much alcohol is needed/how do you figure that out?

Our packages are all full service, this means that we will plan your menu with you in person at your tasting and we will place your alcohol order. Once your alcohol order is placed we will facilitate delivery and returns of leftover product after your event. Our clients never shop, pick up or deal with any of the bar logistics which makes for a stress free and easy experience.

Your thoughts on signature drinks? How do you recommend couples choose their signature drink(s)?

Our clients always plan their menus in person which is fun because they actually get to taste everything on the spot. We even hand curate a nice menu to our clients' tasting preferences. In the event that you are not going with a service like ours, we suggest finding a few options that are all different. For instance, vodka, bourbon, and tequila. This allows all of your guests the option to try something that they will enjoy at your event.

What are the most important questions couples forget to ask?

Clients who are booking a mobile bar should always have a rain plan, be aware of parking logistics and make sure that power is within reach. It also doesn't hurt to have your vendor come out before your event to walk the property to ensure that the bar will fit where you want it :)

Lauren & Co’s Notes:

We recommend full service for all of your vendors. It sounds easy to need to provide cups but we look at it as, these are the experts. So let them handle it. Yes, we did just say they are the experts in cups. The bigger picture is they are the experts in everything bar related, cups included! So let’s leave it to the experts, we promise it will make everything flow smoothly.

The best part about including Thirsty Filly and Lauren & Co in your wedding day is that we handle your logistics. We will work directly with Thirsty Filly’s team and the venue to determine the parking logistics and power. We work with you to come up with a rain plan that suits everyone’s desires! Partially, this is why we recommend that you use our preferred vendor list when choose vendors. We want to help you build your A team. And Thirsty Filly is a must!
