The Wedding Bells Are Ringing: Are You Ready?

It’s that time of year again! The bells are ringing, and we are NOT talking about Christmas bells just yet! The bells we are referring to are wedding bells. Engagement season is upon us and it started early this year. We are sure you have seen this as well as Instagram feeds are now filled with posts of diamond rings and the cutest proposal ideas.

We just wrapped up the busiest part of the wedding season and are ready to jump into helping our 2023 couples prepare for their big days!

Whether you just said yes or you have been gathering ideas for a while here is what you need to know to start your planning journey and to ensure you avoid the wedding planning stress so many people face.

  1. Set Your Budget First

Every aspect of a wedding revolves around your budget. Having your budget set allows you to allocate different percentages toward your priorities whether that be photographer, dream dress, or guest experience. Having a budget set allows you to look for venues since this will then limit your guest count. If you go in without a budget you may soon spend more than you have on the front end, putting you in stressful situations later in the process. Vendors all require deposits to hold the date and then require payment later. Knowing how much you want to spend ahead of time can help you plan for these payments.

  2. Your Planner Should Be Your First Vendor

Hire a planner first, here’s why! We know the right questions to ask your vendors (stay tuned for future blog posts), we know which vendors will go well with what you want out of your wedding day, and we know everything that you do not know you don’t know. This is what we do! We know you don’t plan weddings every day, so we don’t expect you to know what you're doing. That is why we are here. We try to be the most valuable resource throughout the process. From hiring your most important vendors to adding minute details that make a world of difference, having a planner from the beginning will make it easier for you to enjoy the planning process. Whether you need us to be hands-on throughout the process and attend vendor meetings with you or you want to do the bulk of the planning and have us handle vendor communication we have something to offer every couple.

  3. Choose a Vision

As we have mentioned, you will be making many decisions throughout the planning process and if you have a specific vision in mind these decisions will be easier for you. Having a vision and aligning your floral choices, decor, and colors with the vision will ensure that you create a cohesive experience for guests. From invitations, which set the tone for the wedding, to wedding party colors cohesiveness amplifies the elegance of your wedding.

Congratulations to all of the newly engaged couples! We are extremely excited for you and can not wait for your big day!
