How To Honor Mom In Your Wedding

Happy Wednesday! Today we want to talk about Mom. We don’t think one day is enough to honor all the moms who love and support us. You know this to be true as well, especially in wedding planning. Whether your mom along for the wedding planning adventure with ideas and support, or she is looking down as you embark along the next part of your life’s journey there are different ways you can honor the moms you love on your wedding day!

  • A Bouquet for Mom

    • Many people opt out of the tired tradition of a bouquet toss; however, you can still order the bouquet. Instead of a toss, gift it to your mom when you make your “thank you” toast. Here you can thank you for all of her support that led you to this day!

  • A Bouquet Charm

    • Another way to honor mom, especially if she is not physically present, is to attach a photo charm to your bouquet with a picture of you two in it. This way she is with you all day long!

  • Have Mom Walk Down with You

    • It has become far more common in recent years for both Mom and Dad to walk the brides or grooms down the aisle. Asking Mom to walk down with you is another way to make her feel special.

  • A Wedding Table

    • Similar to a memory table, we have seen tables with wedding photographs from grandparents and parents or just individuals on their wedding day prior to the couple’s wedding. This is a great way to honor those who walked this journey with their person before you.

  • Mother-Daughter Dance

    • Mother’s of the Groom are honored with a mother son dance. Another spin on that to honor the Mother of the Bride is to include a Mother-Daughter dance in with your other formality dances. This could be a separate dance or asking Mom to join in half way through the dance with Dad.

We could not write a Mother’s Day themed blog post without mentioning our wonderful Lauren. She is a dedicated mom of three who is absolutely killing it in the wedding industry. We are so proud to have her as our leader. Lauren always puts her family first while still giving 100% to all of her couples and her team. Sometimes that means pulling out her Mom voice on us, too! Words can not express the love and respect we have for her. Happy Mother’s Day, Lauren!
