Katie & Kent
July 15, 2022
How They Met: I had worked with Kent’s aunt for many years. She had retired a few years ago and contacted me out of the blue. She had a dream that Kent and I were destined to be together and put a plan in place for that to happen. She was persistent and we were hesitant…but 5 months later we met and have been inseparable ever since! Karen knew best and we couldn’t be happier!!!
Wedding Vision: Our vision was to a imagine a colorful, cheerful, carefree meadow. We wanted to represent how we envisioned our future life together…La dolce Vita…the sweet life. We chose various bright wildflowers to adorn our tables, arches, and bouquets. While our favorite ladies wore vibrant peacock blue dresses complimented by blue-grey suits for our favorite guys. We are a blended family so we also wanted to make sure that was a huge theme for the wedding by incorporating sentimental elements throughout the biggest day for our new family.
Favorite Moment: It’s hard to choose just one moment but one of the most exciting parts was the first look at Thompson’s Ledges. It was beautiful and magical. Another favorite moment was Kent’s sweet and heartfelt vows to the girls during the ceremony and our private time after the ceremony with just the four of us. It gave us time where could all just breathe and feel the joy between us…reminding us what this day truly was all about!
Why They Chose Us: We chose Lauren & Co because of the reputation we had heard from so many through the Running Horse Brides page.
